One reason we should ban bottled water is that 30 million bottles are consumed by americans yearly alone and only 23% for those bottles are recycled. We are almost 60% of the problem for not recycling, but we are only 4% of the world's population. That is a lot of people who are not using bottles but still have the problem others make. To make the bottles out of oil is as much as 25% of that bottle itself not even including the amount oil it takes to transport the bottle.
