Everyone has been brave at least one time in their life. Whether it was standing up to someone or do something that they didn’t want to, everyone has been brave, no matter how little they thought of the act later. Jaclyn Enis’s story,“A Day on the Slopes,” and “Amra and the Skateboard” by an unknown author both have the common theme of bravery. These stories teach people that in order to succeed, everyone must show that they are brave. “A Day on the Slopes” shows the theme of bravery by the main character, Bobby, skiing the glades. The glades are a somewhat difficult path to take, especially since he is only a beginner. He needed to get over his fear and nervousness to do so. The author writes, “Bobby felt nervous and excited. “Let’s do it!”
