EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Group A6, as a research group of five talented MSc students of Kingston University London with expertise in equipment manufacturing and engineering consultancy, have developed a state of the art mechanism to combat wheel-nut loosing experienced by fleet operators.
ELEVATOR PITCH
I am John, a member of Group A6, a research group of MSc students of KUL.
We combine leading technology with creativity and intelligence. 83% of fleet operators experienced a wheel nut loosing. In 2007/08 alone, loose wheel nuts resulted in 60 deaths in UK? The existing indicator device has severe limitations.
Introduction of INDNUT an electronic indicator would eliminate the limitations with existing indicator and save lives. You would be amazed to know how INDNUT works.
We are seeking for £50000 to invest on Developing INDNUT. With vast market available for INDNUT, any investments will surely see high returns.
THE ADDRESSED PROBLEM
Nuts loose gradually from their bolts overtime, if not noticed on time, can cause serious devastation depending on where it’s being used. A lot of fleet fatal accidents happen as a result of loose wheel nut.
Presently, fleet wheel nuts are fitted with a plastic wheel nut loosing indicator as shown in figure 1 below. The operator will have to observe the indicators at a certain frequency. The problem is that when the operator forgets to check the indicator it will result in a disaster.
Fleet operating companies, bus operating companies, Railway operating companies are this issue. They have to employ people for checking the indicators at certain frequency.
With the introduction of our new idea of INDNUT, it is an electronic indicator that will be able to alert the operator when the wheel nut starts getting loose. The INDNUT will not only save the driver, it’s designed to reduce road hazard through electronic monitoring vibrations in wheel nuts. INDNUT has endless safety applications in Railway, Shipment, Aviation industries that have machinery assembled and secured with bolts and nuts.
The INDNUT is an advanced existing product that will warn the equipment user of a nut that is working loose under stress or developing cracks that may shear the bolt without physical being there.
INDNUT will be introduced to the via health and safety requirement, making it compulsory for all operating company to buy/use it.

We expect to have a shelf sale of £8.50 a piece, may look expensive at first glance, but it’s an investment of once a life time unlike the current product that is
