In the reading, “Victim Impact Statement from Brock Turner Sentencing” the victim of rape tells her story of the events leading up to and after her assault. She was assaulted and left behind a dumpster, half naked, and with bruises left all over her body. Her statement was so had to read because I felt so horrible for her. She had to read about her own assault and learn everything that had happened to her through other people because she was unconscious and did not remember a thing (Victim Impact Statement from Brock Turner Sentencing, pg.2). The events leading up to her trail, she dealt with people telling her to “be prepared in the case [she] didn’t win” (Victim Impact Statement from Brock Turner Sentencing, pg.4).
