The Scarlet Ibis is a heartbreaking story about two brothers, Brother, and Doodle.
Doodle was a very ill child and his brother did not comprehend the extension of Doodle’s illness.
Doodle died and his brother was left feeling traumatized and guilty for his brother’s death. However, I believe that it was not Brother’s fault that Doodle died because he is only a child, he was selfish and wanted a normal brother, and he did love Doodle and wouldn’t want to harm him intentionally.
