Brianna Interviewed Shelta Webb, who is the Multicultural Director of Education Program and the advisor of the Rainbow Alliance at the California University of Pennsylvania. Sheleta professional training included at Bachelors in Social Work at Calu and she also received her master of Secondary Education in Social Studies. Another training, her experiences in her position is attending professional developments dealing with the LBGQT+ issues and attending cultural workshops and conventions on topics dealing with diversity, LBGQT+ issues, and poverty. She has twenty plus years of training dealing with diversity and LBGQT+ issues she graduated college 1994 and has been employed at Calu. Sheleta also helps students that are dealing with racial biases and help them face prejudice of other people. She also goes to conventions dealing with education programs so she can keep updated on the newest techniques and be knowledgeable to deal with specific issues. Services that she provides is helping students with issues that they are having, such as being racially discriminated against and what actions to take and how to deal with these racial injustices. Shelta also helps LBGQT+ to be able to come out and give them information such as LBGQT+ groups to talk to and steps to take if they are worried about judgment. Knowing what makes you the person that you are will help you to use your ethics and moral characters when talking to a client. Being able to be flexible when a client needs you even if you are busy it is important to let the client know that you care and are willing to take time out of your day to talk to the client.
