Though the three photographs may represent Buddhism in some capacity, they were all taken many years apart. The oldest, Malcolm W. Browne’s Untitled was published on June 11th, 1963 using a Petri camera in Ho Chi Minh City, South Vietnam. This picture was commissioned by The Associated Press and won the World Press Photo of the Year in 1963. This is an example of the photojournalism style as Malcolm Browne attended a protest and took a picture of this unexpected event for the world to see.
