Buddhists follow a set of rules "religiously", and worship a natural being- the Buddha. Statues are created to Buddha, and followers hold his “legacy” in the highest regard. Now us Christians, base our salvation on faith in God and redemption. God’s word says: “You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3). This is the first commandment and not only does our heavenly father emphasizes it once, evidence from the bible demonstrates: “Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold”.(Exodus 20:23) Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God ( Exodus 34:14). You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not bow down to an alien god (Psalm 81:9). Buddhists believe that through mediation, good works, and following the Buddhist teaching, you can save yourself. The Bible, on the other hand, says that Jesus is the only way of salvation, enlightenment, and fulfillment. Now to conclude, can a person reach communion with God by following the Eight Fold path? Nirvana? Not
