This is due to the view that one's credibility doesn't get damaged as much when one bullshits compared to when one lies. This is formed due to the opinion that when you bullshit people tend not to assert things from what one is saying, as they believe them to be untrue. Therefore when one is bullshitting one's credibility of assertion diminishes but only to small extent. However when one is lying people tend to assert things from what someone has said and therefore it would lead to more damage to ones credibility in assertion as well as their credibility in implicature. As when one is lying, you automatically come to the conclusion that, that person cannot be trusted and in future that you won't trust that one person, so their credibility is damaged. However when one bullshits, you already know not to assume assumptions from what they are saying. Consequentially when they say an assertion later on they could still be trusted, as their credibility in assertion has been damaged but not that much as if they had lied. Therefore lies are in this instance a greater enemy of truths then bullshit but this is only to a small extent as their credibility in assertion and implicature is
