One day a 7th grade boy named Billy got picked on. In the gym there was a 7th grade boy named Billy, then a couple more 7th grade boys came over and started calling Billy stupid. The boys pushed Billy around calling him names in the gym. Some kids were trying to tell the kids to stop picking on billy, but they said no shut up. When Mr.Snarr came out the locker room the boys stopped picking on the Billy. bullying is a issue in middle school. “your stupid” said the 7th grade boys According to this survey 33 out of 50 people were bullied. A Lot of people said they were bullied in school. There was another survey, how many people were a bully, 22 out of 50 people were a bully at some time. So on my survey a lot of people who were bullied said they weren't a bully, some did though just a little. …show more content…
On a website stop bullying I found that, the cyberbullying Research center found that victims of cyberbullying were more likely to suffer from low self of esteem and suicidal thoughts.
According to stats reported by ABC New, nearly 30% of students are bullies or bullied , 160,000 kids stay home from school everyday from the fear of bullying. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non victims, according to Yale University.
Physical bullying is a serious problem, affecting not only the bully and the victim, but also the other students who witness the bullying. Parents, teachers, and other concerned adults and young people should be aware of what a physical bully is and some of the ways to handle it.
A way to stop bullying is to stand up for people. If someone is getting picked on stand up for them tell them to stop bullying. Tell an adult it's not snitching if someone is getting hurt mentally or physically. STAND UP TO THE BULLY, STOP
