Title Did you know there is an invasive species in Florida's Everglades? The presence of Burmese pythons is destroying the ecosystem of Florida's Everglades. To demonstrate, these snakes are native to Asia, they are wiping out a huge number of native species, there's a Burmese python challenge to try to get rid of them, and native animals can go extinct. Primarily Burmese pythons are native to southeast Asia. They have been found in Florida's Everglades, which makes them an invasive species. Burmese pythons can lay up to 100 eggs. This is a huge problem since they are invasive and it will make their population grow. In “Burmese Python Not the Ideal Pet” they tell us that the snake is among the largest snakes in the world. Due to Burmese pythons wiping out a huge number of native species, it can cause native animals to go extinct. According to “Florida’s Python Hunt” it states, “with no natural predators, these eating machines appear to be wiping out a huge number of opossums, raccoons and bobcats as well as many bird species.” This reveals that many of the small animals may go extinct because a snake is eating them. In “ Florida’s Python Hunt” it states “ the challenge is to hunt and kill Burmese pythons.” This proves that they use this challenge as a way to remove Burmese pythons. Also, in “Python Challenge” the most Burmese pythons or the longest one win up to $1,500. This shows people are more interested in money than about the real reason and problem that's happening. Lastly, we need more knowledge of Florida's
