Burmese Pythons in the Everglades Snakes can be a negative effect on the environment depending on how big they grow.Like the Burmese python, which grows up to be about 23 feet and 200 pounds. In Florida’s Everglades, Burmese pythons are out walking around free because of bad and irresponsible owners letting them go after realizing these snakes were too much to handle causing them to overpopulate the ecosystem in Florida. The Burmese Python is negatively changing the Everglades by eating local animals, crowding the Everglades, and creating more hazard for other animals.
