According to the author of Florida’s Python Hunt, Andrew Ng, “Tens of thousands of burmese pythons are estimated to be living in the Everglades. So since there’s a lot of these snakes they could overpopulate the ecosystem. Burmese pythons are also changing the Everglades by creating more hazard for other animals. Andrew Ng, author of Florida’s python Hunt wrote an article about this event. According to the text, “This means for 30 days, hundreds of people armed with shotguns, rifles, machetes, handguns, and hooked spears-- many who have never seen a Burmese python-- will roam the Florida Everglades in search for the coveted snake.” This means that during the hunt, people might kill other kinds of animals because most of these people have never seen a Burmese
