Bernie the bear was a mean old black bear who had a snarly looking face and you could just tell he was a disrespectful guy. He loved to procrastinate and wait till the last minute for everything. So to prove this point we will go back to a year ago on this day when it was a warm spring afternoon. Bernie was being lazy today and decided it was gonna stay that way for the next few months and he would only go out to eat just enough to fill him up. Then he would head back to his cave and sleep and think about how he hates all the other creatures in the woods. So while Bernie was sleeping and not preparing himself Si the squirrel was out and about climbing every tree in the woods inspecting the nuts and picking only the best ones. Once he had a good mouthful he would go to part of the woods and bury them near his nest. Si had a whole lot of places to bury his nuts and started really early in the spring that way he would have some food for winter when everything died and all the animals would starve but the smart ones like Si. So one day while Si had ventured far away from his home looking for the best nut in the woods, the acorn, he happened to see a lazy old bear asleep in the cave who just so happened to be mighty skinny. So Si went down his tree and woke up the old bear and told him that he should go start collecting food while there was still a lot of it left. He ROARED and said “HOW DARE YOU WAKE ME UP DURING MY VALUBLE SLEEP?!” Si cowered in the corner and said “Bernie I was just trying to help you out so you don’t starve during the winter!”. Bernie
