What is one challenge of reporting to more than one manager in a matrix organization? What would be the benefit?
One of the main challenges of relying on more than one manager in a matrix organization is the potential for conflicting priorities. When multiple managers are involved, employees may receive different directives, deadlines, or expectations, which creates confusion and makes it difficult to prioritize tasks effectively. This can increase stress and decrease productivity.

With well-defined roles and responsibilities, employees may be able to understand their specific tasks and how their work contributes to the organization's overall objectives. However, this could lead to duplication of effort, missed deadlines and decreased morale.
