In Canada there was a day that they made called the "Buy Nothing Day". It was made in order to stop the over consumption of goods. It also helped to expose environmental problems that come with over consumption. The "Buy Nothing Day" should be established around the world in order to show people the environmental problems, in order to convince people to stop spending too much, and to teach people to save money.

First, over consuming has caused a great deal of damage to the environment. This is because people spend their money to quickly. As soon as a paycheck arrives they go out and buy the latest model of a new phone or other unnecessary things. As a result people do not have money for their basic needs.
