Reflecting on the environmental issues I have learned about so far in this course, I can say that awareness is one significant aspect that has impacted me the most. I have lived and worked in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) for nearly 15 years, and despite the duration of my residency, this course has enlightened me about issues I wouldn't have known otherwise. Air quality, poor farming practices, global warming, and their negative impacts on low-income households and marginalized communities are all critical concerns I’ve come to understand. This course has also taught me how to conduct extensive research. This strategy would involve enhancing current waste collection systems, introducing more comprehensive recycling programs, and promoting composting. Implementation Steps: Establish a robust curbside recycling program, with separate bins for paper, plastic, glass, and metal.
