One of the most iconic surf spot in the world, boasting its right hand point breaks and swells. Its temperate and tropical waters makes it a popular area for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Aside from its famed waves, Byron Bay is also an ideal place for the hippie and the artsy with plenty of arts and crafts to see (and even buy!) Bonus sightings are shipwrecks which are scattered along the bay and surrounding areas.
Byron Bay’s town center is low-rise and relaxed and when the sun goes down, surfers usually mingle alongside fellow backpackers to party the night away!
