1. I am a Project Manager in the Investigations and Management Services Division at CACI where I manage a project that provides background investigations for the federal government. I started at CACI as an investigator in 2008 and worked my way up to become the Project Manager. Currently, I manage a staff of approximately 1600 employees and my project has annual revenue of approximately 200 million dollars. I am responsible for creating and managing a high performing team as well as coordinating with and answering directly to our client, the United States Office of Project Management.
I work closely with my team to insure the best performance possible for our client and to troubleshoot significant obstacles. Each morning I have a meeting with my management team to address the main goals for the day and in general so that I insure my client’s needs are properly addressed. I plan to achieve this by acquiring the necessary tools and experience to manage larger programs at UNC Keenan Flagger while completing my MBA. I intend to hone my leadership and business skills at your program so I can work my way up from my current position of project manager. I currently use intuition and experience to guide my decisions; but, I plan to strengthen my skills by learning formal methodologies at UNC and also benefiting from the life experiences of my classmates and professors. I believe UNC will provide me with skills that will enhance my existing leadership abilities.
