My reaction during this course of the text, was very infuriated and disgusted that even grown men have the audacity to call a young teenage girl a ‘’Slut’’ and try to get into their business. The moment I read Mr. Harding say, “Call me Don, honey” (Blount 149). I was disgusted because of how he was smirking at her hen Grace was actually respecting the man and called him by Mr. Harding. It made me furious because even after Grace told the man to stop, he would still try to seduce her. My reaction by the end of the course of the text did not change because the man was still trying to seduce Grace by the time the text ended.

My reaction during this course of the text was very startled and astonished because I had no idea that Grace changed her whole entire personality because of the woman her dad left her and her mother for. Grace changed how she used to dress just so she doesn't look like Kristie. Not only did Grace change the way she dressed, but she changed her hair colour just so it doesn't look like her dads. It was surprising how someone can change their whole personality to be the opposite of someone else. My reaction did not change during the course of the text because even in the end of the book Grace still wanted to remain the opposite of her dad and Kristie.
