In the crisp September air, under the clear blue sky, and nestled into the evergreen woods of Ebensburg lay the Cambria County Fairgrounds. The first time I came to the fair, I was a freckled faced 5 year old who just had to wear her pink cowboy boots. Coming to the fair became a tradition in my family, and it meant so much to me. However, this year when I walked into the fairgrounds it was different than any other year. I was crowned Queen of the 125th Cambria County Fair. Being the Cambria County Fair queen was a lot of responsibility during fair week. I was responsible for handing out all the ribbons or trophies to those who did exceptionally well in their shows or events. Some shows and events I handed out ribbons for include: many different
