The Camden Health information exchange at Camden New Jersey was started in 2010. The initiative was a result of the collaborative effort at data sharing for the improvement of health care delivery in Camden. Originally, it was founded by Cooper Health system, Virtua and Our Lady of Lourdes Health system. The health information exchange is currently used by more than 100 health care providers in Camden. The HIE has greatly facilitated health care data sharing among the regional health care providers like regional hospitals, primary hospitals, physicians and laboratory groups. The HIE has made clinical information sharing easier with its web based technology. The health care providers can have real time access to crucial health information for the Camden patients. Through its web based technology, it is easier for the health care providers to share detailed medical data.
