There are also those that nearly show you what happened on the battlefield, those are generally better for learning history. Movies can bring the most vivid images that almost make you feel like you were there. Having a real depiction of events are more helpful than trying to imagine what was happening at the given time. Some history films are about government rather than battle and you can really tell how the situation was through great interpretation. Films that don’t falsify our history are the best kinds of movies, because if they are untruthful your facts could be fiction. Based on films that teachers use to teach history there is less fiction and more of fact but you still have to watch out for what the producers could have thrown in the movie. Having a better depiction of the actual events creates more of a film that intrigues because of its true attributes, rather than the false ones. Actors are also a great key within the films truth, if great actors know what they are doing then the film should be as true as it can be but if actors don’t know about the events themselves how are they expected to portray what happened if they don’t know what happened. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t figure out what’s fact or fiction within your favorite history film. Using your memory and probably a computer you can figure out whether a scene or plot within a film has it reigning true or if it is just a whole lot of talk. Well that’s when you do some of your own researching even watching the film a second time through from a different perspective could even change how you perceived the events. You could see the movie as if you were on the “enemies” side or on the side that you weren’t on before. Imagine how they are perceiving this film for accuracy on what’s true or not because their events could be so much different than yours or how you learned what happened. Having your memory also have what you were originally taught could be wrong whether you’ve learned it from a film or Wikipedia. Wherever your history facts came from make sure that you aren’t the one that is wrong within your ideas.
