I believe that captivity is better because they won't get hunted by anyone man or animal. When they get hunted their population is decreasing, and if it keeps to on like this the only place you might be able to see an elephant is in the zoo. I can infer that because in the zoo cams I can only see elephants in their own enclosures no other types of animals which means they cannot get hunted by animals. They won't get hunted by man because they are in an enclosure and the only way in is locked with keys and their are cameras everywhere. So it would be likely impossible for man to hunt them. Another reason why It is good for elephants or any type of animal in general to live in captivity is that they could be reunited with lost family or friends.
