Seeking cardiovascular technician who is able to monitor patients and assists doctors with performing angiograms, PCIs, Interventional Radiology procedures, and Electrophysiology procedures. Minimum requirement: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). They are the first assistant to the physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures standing and assisting next to physicians in various cases. RCIS and RCES technicians work in a team which consists of physicians, nurses, radiologic technician (RT) and other technicians. Furthermore, RCIS and RCES technicians are cross trained in multiple areas in the laboratory such circulator, monitor, and scrub positions.
Another similarity between RCIS and RCES technicians are abilities to provide patient care before, during, and after the procedure. They review patient charts, labwork results, ECG, provide IV access, point of care testing, and hemostasis control. They are proficient in preparing and draping patient for specific procedures with sterile techniques. Additionally, the technicians are able to assist and performs emergency procedures and crash cart equipment when the occasion arise. They are certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support
