Neurosurgery is a specialized field of surgery that is focused on the brain and spine. It is actually one of the most sophisticated specialties and that is why neurosurgeons work in a very fast paced and focused environment. Neurosurgeons receive extensive training to treat neurological illnesses, such as brain tumors and meningitis . A few tasks neurosurgeons have to do each day is perform surgery to deal with brain damage, assessing and diagnosing patients, and meeting with family members to keep them updated ( Chron) . I chose this job because of the fact that i’ll be able to help others who need it, the high pay, and I can travel around the world.
As a specialized surgeon you need to be adaptable, have excellent communication and patient care, also be able to have physical coordination and precision. Without these skills an individual will not be able to work in a surgeon's environment.
