Eulogy of Gatsby Hello, My name is Nick Carraway. I am gathered here with you today because of a tragic incident. We mourn the loss of a great man that passed in a undeserving manner. Jay Gatsby was not the average person you would pass by and not give a second look about who he really was. When I first met him, it was t o be at one of his parties that he threw so frequently, and at first glance I had no idea he was the man who was my neighbor. He began to talk to me and there was something about him that interested me in his presence. In that moment Gatsby and I were easily acquainted. We became closer each day since the first day we met. Jay Gatsby was a wonderful neighbor and one of a kind friend. I remember it like it was yesterday. He was this neighbor who threw extravagant parties with many admirers attending.
He was one of those individuals that no one could ever seem to figure out. My good friend set his sights high. Jay focused on his goals and aspirations. He was known for his determination and never giving up on his dreams; no matter the circumstances. The downfall of his personality was that he always seemed to want to recapture what happened in the past. Even with that one minor negative, nothing could possibly top the wonderful smile Jay portrayed. That grin of his could lighten the mood of an entire room at one glance. Jay also known by his father as Jimmy and his father only ; He was always considered a young boy to his father Gatz. Many people didn’t know him by this name or the other name he assumed before Jay Gatsby.
I’d like to take a this moment to further enlighten you about this great man. No matter the cost he had the ability to bring the best out of himself. Before Jay Gatsby went by that name, he was known as James Gatz.
During this stage of his life,
