Portland Tennis & Education is a non-profit organization that offers one-on-one tutoring, group tennis instruction, life skills instruction, and parent advocacy and training to K-12th grade participants in our year around program. We are dedicated to the academic success and lifelong health of Portland’s underserved youth, supporting them in becoming well-rounded learners, exceptional athletes, and global citizens. I tutored students and assisted them with their school work and created lesson plans in line with state curriculum and school curriculum standards. I chose to volunteer with this program because I was once a program attendee for 6 years. I came back as a volunteer to show my appreciation and give back to a great community.
