What I'm choosing to write about is why the National Football League should vote no on the Raiders relocating from Oakland to Las Vegas. I am an eleven year reigning season ticket holder dating back to 2007, but I don't feel the owners should vote no based on personal bias. For the last eleven seasons I've observed the little fans that come and go as well as the majority of us that have remained season ticket holders over the years regardless of how the team has done on the field. Yes, fan loyalty is one reason but the economic side plays a major factor as well. The city of Oakland has an area that no other sports town has and I will be discussing why I strongly feel that the best place for The Oakland Raiders is Oakland, California.

The Bay Area has a population of seven million, while Las Vegas is just over half a million. When it comes to income, the Bay Area has a huge advantage as well as educational attainment which is ranked seventh in America while Vegas is one-hundred-twenty-fourth. The one benefit that we have to give to Vegas is their number of hotel rooms with 150,000 and growing quickly. Hotels are what is supposed to help pay for the stadium in Vegas if built. I understand that fans all want to see what an NFL experience is like. Us fans here that go to the coliseum, we are the NFL experience. As a Raider fan from the Oakland Bay Area, people from all over the world come to Oakland to experience an Oakland tailgate. We are known for our famous traditional tailgates, yes every fan base in the NFL tailgates, but our tailgates are so unique and one of a kind that part of the Raider game day experience is experiencing an Oakland Raiders tailgate. The people that attend our tailgates for the first time always say that they have never had a better experience tailgating until they tailgated with us. I tell everyone, if you come to a Raiders tailgate, you'll get free food, free drinks, whether it's water, soda, beer, or a shot, even some free puffs of a joint for the stoners. One thing that helps are tailgates be the number one experience in the league is the great weather we have here in California, especially at the start of the season when the weather is still nice, not saying that it's not as fun or great in the winter because rain or shine nothing stops us from throwing the best tailgates in all of football, we have years of experience doing it. The state of Nevada doesn't have the great weather that California has. I have friends that live in Las Vegas that tell me the biggest con about Las Vegas is the weather. Even
