Feminism is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. As a feminist, you are always looking forward to the female characters in the book. Especially in a book that is written by a male author that includes a male as the main character, and Catcher in the rye is the perfect example. It has a glut of female characters to look forward to for example Phoebe, Sally Hayes and Jane Gallagher, and many more female characters. Being a feminist and reading Catcher In The Rye, it is shown that Holden would've made a great feminist because he is a caregiver, he respects women’s right, and he hates phony people.
