Introduction

In review of the sermon, Aggressive Christianity written by Catherine Booth in the late 1800’s. Booth suggest that we as Christians lack the desire to adapt the world to executing Matthew 28: 18-20 as stated, “all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (NIV). The Great Commission has taken on the Spirit of Apathy due to the conservativeness of the very Elect, as well as those who have a so called relationship with God. Booth describes that misconception that God’s will has already been done that some Christian have taken on, while in fact we know that His Will has not been done. God has an expectation for His Will to be done. By during this God’s kingdom can be extended and win souls for his shed blood. Booth, places her stamp in closing, “the Lord has filled us with this love and baptize us with fire, and then the Gospel will arise and become glorious in the earth, and men will believe in us and in it (Booth).

Applied Ministry
This sermon has really inspired me to take to Gospel to the next level. Booth leaves you empowered and inspired that you do not want to leave any key unturned. She details how the New Testament church had the zeal and passion to spread the Gospel and we the Church from her time and I would have to say today have lost our zeal. My intended context is to keep the Church awake and focus on the Great Commission. We don’t have a choice this is a Charge given to the Church. Initially, I would intend to help the Believer to know who they are in Christ. I believe that today’s church is not equipped enough and confident enough to Go ye therefore. I believe that
