Maria Lawlor states that “Teachers have an important role to play in the management and prevention of bullying. Although many anti-bullying programmes advocate a ‘whole school approach’, they tend to focus on student-student behaviours and rarely examine the nature of other relationships which exist in the school.” For instants this shows that teachers don't really pay attention to what's going on with the bullying at school. This is important because you as a teacher never know what's going on with the students life and what people are saying to them probably out in the courtyard or passing classes they might be getting hurt. Susan B. Limber said that “A number of common misdirections in efforts to address bullying are presented. Research to date suggests that comprehensive bullying prevention efforts, which involve the entire school community, hold the most promise for changing the norms for behavior and ultimately the prevalence of bullying in schools.”
This shows that many people skip the important parts of bullying and cause the students to bully. Schools should have to address bullying in a way where students will stop. Teachers should be able to take the time to see what's going on outside and in their classrooms more
