SUMMARY OF ISSUE
This memorandum documents the background investigation of concealed weapons permit (CCW) applicant Dertad Tad Bedjakian. Bedjakian resides at 1373 N. Bresee Avenue in Pasadena, CA.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DOJ Application Bedjakian submitted his DOJ CCW application to the Pasadena Police Department Records Personnel on 09-07-23. I was assigned to investigate Bedjakian’s CCW application on 09-29-23.

David Llanes has known Bedjakian for approximately 25 years. Llanes is confident that Bedjakian will take into consideration and bear the full weight of the responsibility of being issued a CCW permit.
Albert Tchoukadarian has known Bedjakian for many years in Pasadena as a business owner. Bedjakian is a friend to Tchoukadarian and an upstanding citizen of the City of Pasadena. Tchoukadarian recommends that Bedjakian receive a CCW permit.
Varoujean Salatian has known Tchoukadarian for approximately 22 years. Salatian described Bedjakian as a valuable member of the City of Pasadena. Bedjakian approaches personal and community matters with great care and a strong sense of responsibility. Salatian recommends that Bedjakian be issued a CCW permit. Residence Verification On 04-12-24, I conducted a random check at Bedjakian’s residence to determine if the residency information provided on the DOJ application is truthful. I spoke with Bedjakian’s wife, Veronica Bedjakian, who confirmed that he does reside at the above residence. During the background interview, Bedjakian presented me with an Auto Club Annual Membership and East West Bank statements verifying his residency at 1373 N. Bresee Avenue in Pasadena. I also conducted a records check on Bedjakian’s California driver’s license, which has his current residential address
