When I am not at work I like to spend as much time with my dog as possible. I can’t think of better company than someone that is so excited to see me at any time. I include him in as many of my pass-times as I can. When I can find time to do any of my favorite things they include; reading (I am a big sci-fi and comic book fan), listening to tons of music, going to concerts, playing an instrument (Saxophone, guitar, singing, etc.), cooking, exercising and martial arts, going to parks, wasting time on the internet or on TV, or getting nostalgic on some old video games. I tend to lean towards art and outdoors which I think provides me with the escape from the office life that I am in for so much of my week. I sway heavily between extroverted traits and introverted ones. My hobbies or choice of activities will usually depend on if I feel like crowds or company will drain me or give me a boost. 2. What aspect of your personality causes you to experience difficulties in your interactions with others? Explain how this happens.
Probably my anxiety and over thinking. I don’t think anything could be self-sabotage more than getting too inside my own head or letting my nerves get the best of me. It can cause me to jump to conclusions, create problems that aren’t even there or render myself defeated before an endeavor even begins. It has strained relationships as well as my own growth personally. It can make it very difficult to finish the things I start.
3. What would your ideal life—either personally or professionally—look like five years from now? How does this reflect your personality and values?
I think deep down I will always want to be a performer. I played in stage groups starting fairly young and nothing has given me the awesome feeling that playing does. So whether or not that is a living for me (wouldn’t that be
