For example, A company like Under Armor promoting products that are related to basketball might hire Stephen Curry to advertise their product. This is due to his fame and skills, he has a massive following and respect from fans. This shows a person in a specific industry that’s famous can affect consumer purchases.
Another example is Shaquille O’Neal and his Gold Bond commercials. The people at gold bond must've gotten him to be the spokesman because of his recognizability as the giant. This shows that celebrities from very different industries can still have significant influence in another industry.
