The purpose of this research paper is to bring light to the struggles that Central American children face when crossing the U.S.-Mexico Border. The research focuses on the demographic of age 7 to 17. The experiences these children face in order to cross the border include many hardships. The research findings described the reasons these children leave their home country, family, and normal life. The articles show how the struggles of their native country has spiked the migration of Central American children to America. The research also explained the different types of violence these children face such as physical assault, and sexual assault. The documentary gave an insight on how these children overcome these obstacles. On their journey to the country, these children face various struggles that unfortunately include violence. Many of these Central American immigrant children are forced to flee their home countries due to the violence and lack of security in Central American countries. Whether they travel alone, or in groups, these children leave behind a life that they are so accustomed to. These children range from ages 7-17, so many times when they do reach America, they are often put into detention facilities. An alternative to incarceration. The United States has implemented many refugee programs and has allowed for these children to be placed in the care of their sponsors and away from the violence of their native countries. Many children along the border continue to fight and make their journey to the United States, this research paper allows the audience to learn about their struggles, and
