Character Analysis Paper The town of Salem in the story The Crucible, was supposedly a faith filled town. Everyone had to go to Church and everyone was known to be friendly, and all of the townspeople had to sign a covenant where they would uphold their faith and they would challenge each other when they were facing hard times. But when a group of girls come along crying witchcraft, the town goes wild and everyone tries to commit one another with witchcraft when they have the chance.
