The bus ride home was a mix emotional ride full of anxiety, yet I felt overjoyed. It was after Christmas Break, I was coming home with new knowledge about my Midterms that I had taken just before the break this year. The bus stopped at the bottom of my driveway and before the doors even opened, I jumped out of my seat. I ran down my driveway full of excitement waiting to show my parents my results for my Midterms that I actually forgot to pick up the mail, which for me was a daily ritual. I ran daringly down the icy driveway not even thinking about the dangers if I slipped and luckily did not slip. I hurried up my stone steps, opened the front door and was greeted by my dogs joyous as ever to see me come home. I ran over to my mom’s little work space on my porch, it was always clean kept neat and tidy but not today, the desk was cluttered and unusually stacked with all of my mom’s papers. I know it is weird, but when this scene plays over in my mind all I see is the desk in my mind like a premonition that I took unheaded, the desk covered in DNR’s for my mom’s patients who live in the assisted living centers she works at. Yet, I kept walking, and looked at my mom and screamed, “Hey mom,” I then bent down and gave her a hug, “I got my Midterm grades
