The bear totems characteristics strength, caring and optimistic relate to me, Cole from Touching Spirit Bear and the world.

“I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful and too determined to be defeated,”. To me this quote means that you can overcome anything and do anything you want if you have the right attitude. This relates to the Tlingit culture because they had strong morals to be good so they could have a good afterlife. I believe if you're a good person you'll have optimism and will be strong. I best relate myself to the bear totem as its characteristics represent me and many others in the world.
