Abe. Lincoln encompassed three main character traits. These character traits include: powerful, humorous, and integritous. He was powerful. He was in command of the United States of America and he was President during the civil war. Since the U.S. was in wartime, he had war powers which he used to make and deliver the emancipation proclamation. He had a good sense of humor. He would often tell stories at desperate or saddening times to lighten the mood. He had a strong sense of integrity. He displays this trait through doing the right thing in a time of crisis and civil war. The right thing was to get the 13th amendment passed and free all of the slaves.
