In the story “Cell Phone and Social Graces” by Charles Fisher, the author confesses that he is not anti-tech, however he is against cell phones and what they have come to define for this country and the citizens in it. As Fisher begins to explain his reasoning he acknowledges the fact that cell phones do have value and good reasoning that one should own one. In addition to admitting this he also gives example of why cell phone are good to have. Especially when one may be in a car accident or major catastrophe. Then Fisher moves away from this idea and starts to combine these good reasons with reason one should not have a cellphone.
