Charles Murray’s Plan for the welfare state is to do away with the transfer programs, such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, unemployment benefits, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). In his plan he also wants to do away with corporate welfare and agricultural subsides.
The plan will allow each individual who is 21 or older who makes $25,000 or less per year the opportunity to receive $10,000 annually in the form of a grant regardless of the amount one’s spouse make, as well as others living in the home.
