As they leave abusive environments, victims of domestic violence may end up homeless and need assistance and refuge to start over. In Chattanooga there has been an issue with cases of domestic abuse in the past. Different organizations and efforts are being made to further solve the issue in our city. Shelter Programs are a big help to the homeless population, no matter the size. The Chattanooga Community Kitchen and the Salvation Army are two organizations that provide emergency shelter and transitional housing, as well as basic necessities and support services, to people who are homeless. There are multiple Outreach and Support Services that people can use or go to for help in Chattanooga.
