The Chernobyl shelter fund received 864 million euros towards projects and previous projects. The cost of the new shelter was 1.5 billion euros. The new shelter implementation plan in 2011 was 2.15 billion euros. 42 governments send donations in a total of 350 million euros. This money was used for all the shelters they built to cover the radioactivity and then build a better one and pay for all the damages. The first covering for reactor 4 was built very swift and not planned it which was for the workers well-being, to prevent onsite poisoning or exposure.
