My opinion on welfare is that we need to tighten down on the qualifications that need to be met to apply for welfare. A large majority of the people who are on welfare are on welfare not because of their financial struggles but because of their laziness. Since COVID-19, more and more people have begun relying on welfare to “take care’ of themselves instead of working. Even still, welfare is a wonderful thing, it helps millions of people across the nation take care of themselves and their families. the homeless or citizens just like us, and therefore need to be treated as such. the only difference between them and us is that they have had a run of bad luck or poor decisions, but that doesn't mean that they are incapable of returning to society and being stand-up citizens. homeless or not, all people deserve rights. To finalize my political views, I want to talk about the heinous crime that is child labor. I think child labor is a worldwide epidemic. child labor in today's world is at an all-time high. child labor when you look at it bluntly is slavery. child labor ties heavily to human trafficking. for example, one of the biggest modern-day examples of human trafficking is the US Southern border. millions of children, let alone adults, are brought here illegally every year. This unsavory topic ties into sex trafficking as many children who are sent into labor will become part of sex trafficking rings. At the end of the day, child labor is a huge problem that is kept out of the public eye. It is a disgusting and horrible epidemic that should be eradicated as soon as possible.
