Ms burrows reported in the past where she has had to refuse contact and she did this in a way which was comforting to x. Ms burrows reported that she is able to recognise when her daughter isn’t feeling like her usual self as she exhibits abnormal/atypical behaviour such as feeling insecure and calling her up to 50 times a day. In the two years where Ms burrows has been the primary carer she has not had any incidents but disclosed that should she have to, she would call the police in order to protect and safeguard children. Ms burrows reported that the children's father x, has unsupervised contact one weekend a month when the children were placed on the at risk register but visited them approximately five times a year. Ms burrows recorded that while the children were happy with the contact, she felt that x didn’t take the children to age-appropriate venues as the children often reported waiting outside betting shops.
