It also helped communities establish local farm to school networks, creating school gardens, and ensured that more local foods are used in the school setting. This act set many restrictions on school food, instead of making food favorites healthier it completely took out some lunch favorites because they were not “healthy” enough, it completely disappointed many students to see all these sudden changes. This act did not allow for students to make their own choices and instead forced this change on to them. From personal experience I saw some student’s rebel and choose not to eat or eat very little at school and instead eat a lot more at home, almost like binge eating. Although it created better eating options for students a way to do this but get the students involved would be better so that they have fun and get excited to eat
