In my opinion the title of the book represented the story very well. I believe this because when you think of Cinderella you think of a girl with an evil stepmother that has no respect for her step children. The story “Chinese Cinderella” is similar to the Disney story Cinderella. The stepmother, Niang has absolutely no respect for her husband’s children and treats them horribly; however she treats all of her birth children like they are angels.
