Eragon, is a book that consists of magic, mysterious creatures, fighting, and all inbetween. If you like these things, you will love this book as it contains all of this and more. The book Eragon is written by an author named, Christopher Paolini which is well known for writing the, “Inheritance Cycle,” which are young adult novels. The genre of this book is fantasy fiction. It was self published by the Paolini family in 2002, then republished, or re-released, on August 26, 2003 by Alfred A. Knopf. I enjoyed reading this book because I liked having to imagine in my head what the characters looked like, what the environment looked like, and how the actions of the protagonists occurred. There was magic in this book, along with dragons, elves, and dwarves, along with other monstrous creatures.

Garrow, Eragon’s uncle, and Roran, Eragon’s cousin. Action takes place when Eragon is hunting in a mountain range called the, “Spine” and is tracking a wild herd of deer. When he pulled back an arrow, took aim, and was about to fire when, out of nowhere, an amazing colored rock appeared and turned out to be a dragon egg. However, Eragon showed it to several people trying to get rid of it, sell it, and what he and his family wanted to know most, what it actually was. When the “Traders” came, to sell goods and what not, Garrow asked a jeweler how much the stone was worth but he didn't know, in fact, no one that they asked knew. Therefor, they took it home and a few weeks later, Eragon was awaken by a rumble and a screech, waking up to see that a dragon hatched from the stone. Eragon raises the dragon, trying to keep it away from everyones eyesight at all times.
