: In the book, Christopher the main character is writing a book on the mysteries he uncovers throughout his journey. The author most likely made the book cover the way it is because Christopher his made up character is a very complicated person. The novel is written in the first person point of view, making the book you’re holding, the one Christopher has written. The book cover is plain orange with the cut out of an upside down poodle. Since the poodle in the book was the one that was killed, it was iconic to put the poodle on the cover of the book.
