2. One of the connections I made with this book is a text-to-text connection to Cinderella. The story tells of Cinder Edna who spends her days cleaning for her evil stepmother and stepsisters. My opinion/perception of the book changed when I found out Cinder Edna wasn’t just like Cinderella. My opinion/perception changed because this story wasn’t your typical fairytale. Now, I would recommend this reading to a third or fourth grade class. It teaches a great lesson and it’s entertaining.
10. The part that intrigued me the most was when Rupert found Cinder Edna. I think this because I began to root for Cinder Edna’s happiness like it was that of someone I knew in real life. I could relate to Cinder Edna because I also have to work hard for what I want in life.
11. The title of the book is appropriate because it is the name of the main character and it doesn’t give away too much of the story. Another title would be unnecessary because the current one suits the story well.

It teaches several life lessons such as “Do it yourself” and “Hard work pays off.” The book also shows how you can have more than one way to solve the same problem.
